I probably was ready to quit my day job by the time I was 30.  Maybe if I had known about these places, I would have. And in the end I did eventually land in at least the country that one of these cities is in. But on the serious side, the title is a little misleading.  Unless you have a really great pension or some source of reasonable income, don’t expect to move to your fantasy land and live the life of Riley. You can definitely live a more relaxed lifestyle but in many cases, the relaxation comes from having less, worrying less about less stuff, and focusing on what for most of us are the more important aspects of life…friends, family ( although remotely if you are living abroad), helping others, a slower pace of life, etc.
