We are on another top 10 list, but this one is a little different than the typical “Why you should come to Nicaragua to vacation/retire”. But it is still good to be appearing on the lists. I was hoping this article would spend more time discussing the wildlife and possibly what each resort is doing to protect and foster the wildlife in their respective resort/country. It does mention the typical wildlife that is found in each and of course, fully describes the resort.
In my selection of the 10 best luxury resorts in the world for wildlife, try the luxury wilderness lodge of the Sal Salis set in the dunes which border the beach and the Ningaloo reef. Enjoy a red kangaroo grazing amongst the dunes, the beautiful song of a butcherbird or a humpback whale breaching just beyond the reef. Before breakfast, pop on your snorkel gear and paddle into a world of reef sharks, turtles clownfish, manta rays and dolphins.
Hacienda & Ecolodge Morgan’s Rock is also a gem on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua. here you can enjoy a 4,000 acre expanse of Nicaraguan jungle and on the shores of the most idyllic golden sand beach. Watch howler monkeys, languorous sloths hanging from the trees, and vibrant tropical birds from your tree house. In the evenings enjoy beach bonfires or witness baby turtles hatchlings scurrying out to sea on the star lit beach.
Whatever you want to spot, whales, sharks, lions or baby turtles, place yourself in these remote destinations and the arms of mother nature will embrace you and reward you with utterly memorable moments with it’s creatures.
