What a great place to stay….

Everything about El Mirador is easily worth the 5 stars. Michael and Shannon are very gracious hosts. The rooms were very roomy, comfortable(ie with ac) and spotless. The restaurant seemed to be always open. They were ready to serve us whenever we happened to return from a day trip. The food was excellent!!! The breakfasts were to die for. Try them all. Loved the backyard/pool area. Very nice, private and comfortable. Michael and Shannon were always more than ready to offer help with options for things to do in the area. Their driver, Wilbur chauferred us around the country safely and even threw in free Spanish lessons. Thanks to everyone at El Mirador. Michael picked us up at the airport with a smile after a long overnight flight and made sure we were comfortable. The hotel is cleaned and quiet which makes it perfect for a resting and relaxing arrival. The staff is very friendly and have in mind to ensure your stay will be pleasant and rewarding. The food is made onsite and fresh including freshly baked bread (no yeast), cookies, corn chips… Delicious and yet simple. The owners are Canadians and very welcoming. Not many locals speak English and having the opportunity to get tips from the hosts in your language makes the arrival a breeze. Un Oasi Di Pace – An Oasis of Peace

Siamo giunti direttamente dall’aeroporto e una bella sorpresa ci ha accolto in un’oasi di pace. Ottimo albergo, stanze e letti confortevoli. Pulizia eccezionale. Abbiamo cenato ed anche il cibo e il servizio ottimi. Proprietari molto gentili e disponibili ad ogni nostra richiesta. Siamo stati benissimo e ringrazio tutto lo staff. We arrived directly from the airport and a nice surprise welcomed us into an oasis of peace. Great hotel, comfortable rooms and beds. Exceptional cleaning. The complimentary breakfast with your hotel stay is AMAZING! We also had most of the appetizers they offer one evening and were very impressed. The rooms are well equipped and clean. Michael and Shannon are wonderful hosts and their team of staff is great. They offer a ton of information about the area and will assist with any travel arrangements you may require. Wonderul welcome to Nicaragua!

What a wonderful way to begin our first time visit to Nicaragua! From start to finish, our 3 night stays were exceptionally comfortable and enjoyable in every way. Shannon and Michael are the most welcoming hosts you will ever find. They assisted us with reliable airport pick ups, car rentals, as well as recommending and arranging tours and dining in Managua. The El Mirador is well located with smartly appointed rooms complete with all the amenities you would ever need for a perfect stay. “Best place in Managua!”

We have been so happy to choose at El Mirador. The hotel is very well located, very clean and equiped (hote water & our room #4 was very big compared to the regular rooms in Nicaragua) and Sharon & Michael & Roger have been very helpfull and welcoming, you can feel like at home. “Our home away from home”

Circumstances necessitated a prolonged stay in Managua. We arrived as anxious grandparents, all the way from Australia and have just returned after spending three months at El Mirador Suites and Lounge. We can vouch for the excellence of the staff, the food, the service and most of all for the caring attitude of our hosts, Shannon and Michael who did everything they could to facilitate our stay. El Mirador is a beautiful place, small enough to feel like home, and spacious enough so you do not feel confined – the rooms are large, and there are a variety of spaces where you can chill out, you can read in the lounge, relax in the garden, swim in the pool or muse on the verandah as you look over Santo Domingo towards Lake Managua in the distance.
